How we check discount codes

Version 2026-10-26

We only show discount codes provided by shops, published in their official channels or passed on by affiliate programmes. For every code we state where it comes from and when it was confirmed.

Where codes come from

  • The shop – the shop adds the code in its dashboard and confirms that it is public and that all conditions are stated.
  • Official shop information – our staff found the code on the shop's website, in its newsletter or on its official social media account. We test codes from newsletters or social media in the shop's cart before publishing them. For shops that work with us, we publish such codes only with their consent.
  • Affiliate programme – the code comes from the shop's affiliate programme, if the programme allows publishing codes.

What we do not publish

We do not publish codes from other discount code websites, personal and single-use codes, or codes whose conditions we do not know.

What the labels mean

  • Confirmed by the shop – the shop confirmed that the code is valid and all conditions are stated.
  • Published on the shop's website – we saw the code on the shop's official website. We did not test it in the cart.
  • Checked by Tavela – our staff entered the code in the shop's cart (without buying anything) and the discount was applied. We show this label for no longer than 14 days after the check.
  • Checked in the cart – our staff tested the code in the shop's cart more than 14 days ago; we show the date of that test.
  • Received from the shop's affiliate programme – the code was provided by the shop's affiliate programme.

How we show the code

We show the code when you press “Show code and go to shop”. The same click opens the shop in a new tab and shows and copies the code on this page.

We do not put the discount code in the page source – only a visitor who presses the button receives it. This protects codes from automated collection. We do not ask for your email address or an account.

The shop may pay us for a visit from a discount code or a shop page. This does not affect the order of codes. How we earn money

How we order codes

  1. Codes confirmed within the last 14 days come first.
  2. Codes for all customers come before codes with restrictions (for example, new customers only or app only).
  3. Next, by how much you would save on a basket worth 50 €; free delivery counts as a 3 € discount.
  4. If the saving is the same, the more recently confirmed code comes first.

Shops do not pay for their place in the list. How we rank

When a code disappears

We remove a code from the list when it expires.

If the shop did not state an end date, it must confirm the code again every 30 days.

Codes found by our staff without an end date are hidden after 30 days unless we check them again.

We show the benefit and validity dates of expired codes in the archive for 12 months, but no longer show the codes themselves.

If a code does not work

Press “Code not working?” and choose a reason. We do not ask for personal data.

If 3 different visitors report the same code within 7 days, we temporarily hide the code until the shop or our staff confirms that it works.

You can also report illegal content with the same button.

For shops

A shop can withdraw its code at any time in its dashboard. If a shop does not want us to show its codes or page, it can write to parduotuvems@tavela.lt and we will remove them within 2 working days.

How the shop description is prepared

We prepare the shop page description automatically from our own data (prices, discount codes, reviews) and public shop information. We do not rate shops.
