How we calculate

Version 2026-10-24

“Real discount” shows whether a product's price has really dropped. We calculate it only from the prices we collect from shops ourselves, not from previous prices stated by shops.

Where the data comes from

We update shop prices several times a day and store every price change. All labels are calculated from this history.

We have been tracking prices since 2026-10-17.

If a shop sells a product at a sale price, we use the sale price. Periods when the product is out of stock are not counted.

What the labels mean

  • “Lowest price in 30 days” – today's price is not higher than the lowest price we saw in the last 30 days (today's price is not included), and during that time the price was higher at least once.
  • “Price down X% from the 30-day low” – within the last 30 days the price dropped by at least 5 % compared with the lowest price in the 30 days before the drop, and it is now the lowest.
  • A price equal to the previous lowest counts as the lowest only if the price was higher at least once in the last 30 days. If the price has not changed during that time, we show no label.
  • If today's price is lower than the last price we recorded but the change is not yet in our price history, we show no label – we calculate discounts only from our own data.
  • We use the lowest price in 90 days only when price drops on the “Real deals” page are equal: the product whose price is closer to its 90-day low is shown higher.

When the price history is shorter than 30 days

If we have tracked a price for less than 30 days, we never say “in 30 days”. Instead we say “since tracking began (N days)”, where N is the number of full days we have tracked it (the first, partial day of tracking is not counted).

Until we have tracked a price for at least 7 days, we show no label.

Shop discounts and our label

Shops often state a regular or crossed-out price. We show such a discount separately, in smaller print, labelled “Discount stated by the shop”. We do not verify it and do not include it in the “Real discount”.

That is why a shop's stated discount and our label can differ: we compare only with prices we have seen ourselves.

The “Real deals” page

It shows only products whose price dropped in the last 30 days by at least 5 % compared with the lowest price in the 30 days before the drop (or since tracking began, if we have tracked it for less time), and is now the lowest. We leave a product out if it cost less than now in the shops we compare at any time in the last 30 days. We show only the cheapest shop currently selling the product.

Price drops confirmed by a full 30-day price history come first, then drops since tracking began; within each group, the largest drop comes first.

Everything is calculated automatically: we do not add offers to this page or change their order by hand.

How we earn money

When you click “Go to shop”, the shop pays us a fixed category price. This does not affect labels or the order of offers.

Paid offers are shown only in a separate block labelled “Ad”.
